Hi @tichem2000

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That sounds like an unusual keyboard issue! Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve it:

Step 1: Check Keyboard Settings

  1. Open Settings > Devices > Typing.
  2. Look for any unusual keyboard settings, such as Sticky Keys or Filter Keys, and disable them.

Step 2: Update Keyboard Drivers

  1. Open Device Manager (Press Windows + X, then select Device Manager).
  2. Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and select Update Driver.
  3. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Step 3: Test with an External Keyboard

  1. Connect a USB or Bluetooth keyboard to your laptop.
  2. Check if the issue persists—if not, the built-in keyboard may need repair or replacement.

Step 4: Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Hold down the Power button for 15 seconds.
  3. Restart the laptop and test the keyboard again.

Step 5: Check for Physical Damage

  1. Inspect the N and B keys for any stuck debris or physical damage.
  2. Try gently cleaning around the keys with compressed air.

That sounds incredibly frustrating—especially when a simple keyboard issue turns into a major hurdle. You’ve tested multiple fixes, so at this point, it seems like their hardware or firmware has a deeper flaw
