HP Spectre x2 - 12-c009tu
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I have had the screen replaced on my device and when they took the screws out for the magnetic strip at the bottom they shredded the heads and cant reuse them. They cant find the screws anywhere as they are tiny and refunded me some mondey but now the magnet strip wont stay in.

Does anyone know a part number or sizing of them screws or where i can get from.

Or even  a part list so i can see the part code for them. thanks

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

HP Spectre x2 12 Detachable PC (model numbers 12-c000 through 12-c099) Maintenance and Service Guide...

There is a screw kit listed in chapter 3 on page 14 (which I doubt you will be able to find for sale anywhere),

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

Chapter 5 provides the individual screw sizes and descriptions for each removable component where applicable.

There is also this series of service videos...

Hi,

Thanks for that, im trying to find the screws that hold the magnet in.

They dont show in the partslist and im not sure if the screw pack contains them,

These are the screw locations.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, that is the only information that is available.

If you can remove the screws somehow you can take them to a local PC repair shop and see if they have some that match.
