Absolutely yes. You can add an SSD, buying first an adapter (someone posted a link before). It's very easy to do it. I have also upgraded the RAM to 16GB. I have installed Linux and it boots from it w/o any problem. It runs wonderful... but ...

 

Now I'm trying to clone the eMMC to the SSD. I'm using Clonezilla. The process works and ends fine, but it doesn't boot. The error message at boot is like "not a bootable drive" or something. I don't know if I have to follow any special instructions after the clone ends, like running a command to make the boot partition bootable.
