Welcome to the HP support community.
If you're seeing a prompt for an Administrator password or Power-On password on your HP device this mince your BIOS is locked.
- These passwords are set at the firmware level and are not resettable through Windows.
- If you or someone else set the password and forgot it, HP does not provide a master password for security reasons.
- Too many incorrect attempts may lock the system and display a System Disabled code
If you do not remember the password, then the pc needs to be repaired, where a system board or the component on it needs to be replaced, and this will be a fee-based support.
Please help us with your HP unit serial number or the product number in a private message for further assistance.
