Hello. I have a notebook 15-bc015nt. There are two fans on this device. My question to all you guys, I am experiencing a high temperature problem on the right hand side of the keyboard, where the processors are located under. I checked the fan speeds by using Speedfan software. During a normal use software indicates Fan1: 2200 rpm around but Fan2: 220 rpm (10%) around only.
Can you please check your device (any model with dual fan) regarding the fan speeds? If you experience the same situation I will not send my device back.
Do you think that this is a problem with fans?
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Oguzhan

Well here is the Manual:
The layout is clearest in the diagram on page 30:
The processor and video chip is in the lower left right above the memory. There are dual fans. You might open a youtube video or do something graphics and processor intensive and see if the second fan kicks in harder. Speedfan also gives some temperatures which we could use to evaluate the issue. The second fan is not going to kick in hard until the GPU and CPU reach high temps.
How long have you owned the computer? Might just need dust blown out of the fans. Stick a paperclip in the grille (actually two (2) paperclips, one for each fan) and then blast in compressed air and see if any dust flies.

As you suggested I have already tried to push high graphic demand on both graphic card and cpu by playing Microsoft flight simulator at 100% graphic settings. Even if the temperature reaching 55-60 degrees Celsius no response was taken by second fan and it is becoming really irritating to place my right hand on the keyboard.
I also tried to update the BIOS. In a stage of updating the speed of fan 1 is reaching up to 4900 rpm s but fan2 is still around 100. I think there is a problem with fan2 or some other hardware.
Do you agree with me?
Kind Regards.

The sketch on your earlier post is showing the laptop from bottom view, not top view. Therefore the heat I am feeling under my right hand is coming from CPU/GPU area.
You are right, 55-60°C may not be high for CPU however it is penetrating onto the keyboard and made it hard to use.

Making the other fan run faster probably would not reduce the heat much. 50-60 C is pretty normal and if that heat bleeds through then it is because it is a thin laptop. You can call HP and see if they will take it in for some kind of service but it seems you need to get another thicker laptop that will not radiate heat.

HP having many other laptops which are thinner than mine, like Elitebooks . There are a couple of them in use around me and there is not such a heat problem on their keyboards.
I got in contact with local HP customer service. Now they are following my request.
After all, thank you for your kind replies.

Oğuzhan merhaba,
I have realised my notebook 15-bc017nt having the same issue. I noticed there is a lot of air coming from right hand side fan, assuming it is gpu fan, and no air coming from left hand side fan. And cpu is heating up with gpu with gpu being %99 load all time and cpu around %30 which I believe shouldnt be the case while i am playing games. Speedfan gives around 100-200rpm all the time for fan2. Did you had any conclusions?
