Pavilion 15 RAM compatibility

I have a hp pavilion 15 cs3008nq and I want to upgrade the ram. What are the ram specifications for this model? I'm looking to know latency supported, max ram capacity/speed so I know what to order thank you very much.

It has two memory slots and supports DDR4-2666 MHz CL19 memory.

The only service manual available is for the older models in the series with Intel 8th generation core processors.

Chapter 1 of that manual indicates the maximum memory is 2 x 8 GB.

You can probably install 2 x 16 GB of DDR4 memory in your notebook and you can confirm that by running this command:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

You can also install DDR4-3200 MHz CL22 memory but it will only run at 2666 MHz.
