HP Pavilion 15-au082sa

Hello

I'm intending to utilize the M.2 Sata option on my laptop. The manual looks like it's saying it only supports up to 240GB unless i'm reading it wrongly.

Can anyone help with the correct GB. I'm aware that NVME tends to be unlimited, however not read anything on M.2 Sata3

Hi:

The product specs for your notebook indicate that it comes with a 1 TB 2.5" mechanical hard drive.

The only 15-au models that have M.2 SATA SSD slots are those that came with a M.2 SATA SSD from the factory.

NVMe SSDs are not supported in the model series.

You can replace the 1 TB 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5 " SATA SSD.

The drive capacities listed in the manual are just what HP offered in the model series.

If the notebook had a M.2 slot, a 1 TB SATA M.2 SSD would have worked.

Having opened up the case , you are correct. There is no M.2 interface. Oh well.

You're very welcome.

A 2.5" SATA SSD of the same model will work just as well as a M.2 SATA SSD.

If you want to replace the 2.5" drive, I recommend this one:

WD Blue SA510 1TB SSD, 2.5" SATA SSD, up to 560 MB/s, SSD 1TB, Includes Acronis True Image for Weste...
