ISSUE: CPU running hot/fans on high soon after startup despite low resource stress

For the last several months, my fans start running loudly (and sometimes don't reduce speed until I power down) within minutes of startup. I generally only do boring web-browsing/text-based work, but usually with many windows and many tabs open at a time, using one browser. The browser I use varies depending on my task, but they're all mainstream common browsers. Most my tabs are generally text plus typical amt of graphics (articles w/o tons of spam/ads), rarely videos, and I use an ad-blocker. The only game I play is Spider Solitaire (classic Windows XP style).

Main Point: I am not doing anything resource intensive, except maybe for RAM (but I upgraded my RAM from the original 8GB to 24GB just 3 months ago, so that is no longer a limiting factor as far as hardware goes). This problem began before the RAM upgrade.

* According to a hardware monitor (CPUID HWMonitor), all 4 cores of my Intel i7 are getting up to a max of 100C! When the fans start running high (usually not long after I start using the laptop), HWMonitor says 1 of the cores is generally running hotter than the others.

* My 1TB SSD (original) is nearly full (95%). This overheating/fan issue began before it got beyond 90% full.

* I always use it on a hard, flat surface, and the vents are not dusty/clogged.
* I completely shut down usually once daily/every other day. General daily usage is 1-4 hours, on-and-off.

Thanks in advance!
