Pavilion 15-cs3153cl - What is maximum RAM upgrade? Will it support a second SSD?

My PC came with 12 GB RAM and a 512 GB NVME SSD.

Does anyone know what the maximum RAM for this is?  Some sites say 16, others 32 or even 64?

Also, will it support a second hard drive?  If not, how to clone to a larger NVME drive?

HP has not posted a Service Manual for the 15-cs3000 series: the support page links to the 15-cs2000 manual. We can assure you it will take 32 gigs of DDR4-2666. I also have seen a few 10th gen machines said to run up to 64 gigs of RAM but the cost of 32 gig chips is very high and I cannot think of too many reasons to have more than 32 gigs of memory.

Manual says 16 gigs is the max but we have lots of field data confirming 32 gigs will work. Almost nobody has yet asked about let alone actually tried 64 gigs TMK. 

You can add a 2.5 inch SATA SSD in the hard drive bay but likely need mounting hardware, which we can help you find. Or you can upgrade to a larger capacity NVME. Best way to do it is to make a backup and then restore it onto the larger new drive. 

Post back with step-by-step instruction questions if you wish to proceed.

How to upgrade to larger NVME?  Clone to external drive and then recline to larger NVME?

What mounting hardware do I need to install a 2.5 SATA drive?  I would use that for inexpensive storage.

NOTE: Hard drive brackets are available using spare part number L19469-001. The hard drive cable is available using
spare part number L23889-001

Yes use something like Macrium Reflect...back up the existing installation to an external drive. Put in the new NVME and restore the backup to the new drive. If the installation is new you can just use the supplied HP Backup utility and make a usb bootable drive for installing factory image. Can also get a usb-C to NVME adapter and just do disk to disk clone.
