HP Pavilion 15-cs1500nd

Could someone tell me if this computer: HP Store (pavillion 15-cs1500nd) has the space for a 2,5" HDD to be installed? 256 GB of internal storage is too small for me, but if I could add a second drive myself, it won't be a problem.

thanks in advance,

Johan

Here is the Manual:

Manual

Yes there is space inside for both a M.2 gumstick drive, which is how the model you ask about is equipped and then another space for a regular 2.5 inch hard drive or SSD. Problem is if you buy the kind with just an M.2, HP will not include these parts in the laptop:

hard drive mounting hardware see p. 23 of Manualhard drive mounting hardware see p. 23 of Manual

It appears you may be in the Netherlands. Even in the USA these parts are not available to purchase from the HP parts Store:

So it is a bit frustrating. Theoretically you CAN add a hard drive for storage BUT the parts to do it with are elusive.

You would be better off to buy a model from this series with just a hard drive and add the M.2 disk yourself to upgrade performance. Then you would need no mounting hardware except maybe a screw for the M.2 disk.

Or you can replace the 256 gig M.2 with a larger one on this model. SSD prices have come down in recent months and it may not be too expensive to buy a 512 or 1 TB M.2 disk. The hard drive mounting brackets and cable, if you could find them, would cost about $40-75 US.

Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
