Laptop Pavilion-17 ab200na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop has factory fitted M2 SSD - 128Gb Sandisk 836107-002 some details here  which I *think* is using SATA 3

I want to replace it - Can anyone confirm if I can use a NVMe SSd - this one

Or should I use a SATA SSd - this one

Price is pretty much the same - But I am not sure of any advantages / disadvantages of one over the other - Except that the NVMe one should be faster I think - (if it works!)

Many thanks

Hi:

According to chapter 1 of the service manual both SATA and NVMe M.2 SSD's are supported.

NVMe drives provide much better performance than SATA, but they will reduce the time between battery charges according to this article...
