Pavilion DV2700
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP Community, I have a question for you.

So, I just bought a Pavilion DV2700 Special Edition on Ebay for about 20 bucks (sweet), it has the AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 processor in it sitting at 2.1GHz. I'm looking to upgrade the CPU. I want to upgrade it to a Turion II Ultra Mobile Dual-Core M640 (no M660's anywhere online). From the research I've done, the difference between them would be a jump from S1G1 to S1G3 sockets. According to what I've read, theres no real difference between them, and it depends on what BIOS you have. But I want to be absolutely sure before I buy, or do, anything.

The Laptop has Phoenix F.24 BIOS.

If the upgrade isnt possible due to the socket, or something in the BIOS, I would also like to know the highest performing processor that I can use.

I am tech savvy, and have built computers before, so I understand the implications of deconstructing a laptop to do this process.

Thanks!
