Hello community,
I brought a HP Pavilion DV9700 (AMD) in 2007 and after 6 years the gpu stopped working. The laptop didnt even turn on or any signs.
I repaired the laptop 5 times, Changed the motherboard 1 time (in 2021).
Before buying the motherboard I heated the gpu (or idk the part people were talking about to heat it using heatgun) and it was working for 2 weeks then stopped working.
After buying the new motherboard it was working for 1 month then stopped working, and when I pressed the power button it kept looping on on and off every 2 seconds, cant access bios. The HDD and other lights for example touchpad lock light goes red then keeps repeating, on and off every 2 seconds.
Note that the laptop has other problems:
1. Quickplay Doesnt works
2. Fingerprint Doesnt works
2. CMOS battery is very old and the date goes back to 2007 every restart.
I also brought a cooling pad.
The laptop is unscrewed and the wires are disconnected right now.
Another note that this is my secondary laptop and I use it for projects and server hostings.
I would be really thankful If someone finds the problem! I dont want to buy anything tho I dont live in europe.
