Pavilion G6-1325sa
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I currently have the above laptop which I am considering upgrading rather than replacing due to cost. It is running 64 bit Windows 7 service pack 1 so Windows 10 upgrade will be needed also. It is currently running an AMD E2-3000M processor at 1.8Ghz, Radeon HD graphics, 4gb ram. Can the processor be directly replaced with a faster AMD one? Will also be adding 4gb ram. My 8 year old is desperate to play Minecraft with crazy craft mods and no lag! Is it worthwhile or should I just upgrade the whole thing? Thanks.

@Longbelly

There is a list of compatible processors (AMD) on page 83 of the manual called Maintenance and Service Guide on the following link

Manual also shows how to replace processor

This has become more pressing now due to Windows 7 support ending. Can anyone advise if Windows 10 update will work OK on my specification of machine or should I just buy new?
