I am about to buy a replacement battery for my Pavilion. The existing battery part number is 636631-001, and the specs on that battery are 11.1 volts and 8550mAh. I want a high capacity battery (>8000mAh), but most of the replacement batteries I see are rated at 10.8 volts.
Question - will the 10.8 volt battery work ok with my laptop, or must the voltage be 11.1?
BTW - the reason I am looking for a new battery is that the battery diagnostic reported the following:
Cell Voltage 1: 3883 mV
Cell Voltage 2: 4159 mV
Cell Voltage 3: 4207 mV
Cell Voltage 4: 0 mV
Thank you for your reply.

Here are the compatible batteries:
9-cell, 100-Whr, 3.00-Ah Li-ion battery 636631-001 6-cell, 62-Whr, 2.80-Ah Li-ion battery 593562-001
You have the 9-cell which bulges out a bit I believe.
At 38.50 for a new genuine battery 11.1 volt you cannot go wrong here.
