Greetings, HP Support Forums Community.
I have been diligently working to 'restore'/'upgrade' my Pavilion laptop. I have replaced the original hard drive with a larger capacity (2TB) hard drive. I could not use the HP SYSTEM RESTORE SOFTWARE to do a completely clean installation of the WINDOWS 7 'Ultimate' operating system. I have run into a seriously angering problem! My Pavilion dv7 6b57nr A1T85UA#ABA laptop comes with FOUR(4) USB ports, and a SD CARD READER. The USB Ports on the LEFT SIDE of my computer, the SD CARD READER, and the ETHERNET PORT, ARE NOT WORKING!!!!!
Can someone at HP, please tell me exactly which PAVILION dv7 6b57nr A1T85UA#ABA 'drivers' do I use to get all of the ports on my computer working?
Please respond, soonest.....
Thanking you, in advance.........
Respectfully..........
Walter D. Wormack

Greetings CherylG!
I did just as you said. And lo & behold, IT WORKED! IT WORKED! Thank you, very, VERY MUCH! With all of the ports on my Pavilion dv7 6b57nr A1T85UA#ABA, I can seriously start putting the computer back in working order! Again, thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

Have you used the drivers from your Support page? Realtek Lan and Realtek Card Reader are both there. The AMD graphics driver should contain chipset and enable usb ports. If not it may require a seperate download which I will look for:

If installing AMD graphics from support page still leaves USB ports diabled-use the AMD Chipset here:

Greetings, CherylG.
Please, I ask you to accept my most profound appologies! My schedule has been somewhat full and I have been busier than a ONE-ARMED SANDWICH MAKER, during a lunch-hour rush! Anyway, I clicked the link that you provided. The 'materials'/'items' that I found on the webpage did not 'repair' the problem.
I get the impression that I haven't properly described my particular problem. So I'll try again. From what I can tell so far, all of the input/output ports on the 'MOTHERBOARD' of my Pavilion dv76b57nr A1T85UA#ABA, are 'OFFLINE'. The two 'USB' ports, the 'ETHERNET' port, and the 'SD'/'Micro-SD' CARD READER, DO NOT 'SHOW UP' in the 'Computer' screen when I plug any 'USB' devices, or 'SD'/'Micro-SD' Card, into the 'ports', that are DIRECTLY 'MOUNTED' on the dv7 6b57nr A1T85UA#ABA's MOTHERBOARD.
Is there even a REMOTE CHANCE, that you might know just what software I would need to load into my computer, that would need to install in my computer, that correct the problem???
Thank you again, for your time.
Respectfully......

Still hoping to restore my dv76b57nr!!!!

Did you download and install AMD Chipset? First file in the list.
