Product: Pavilion g6-1160er

Hello!


I have HP Pavilion g6-1160er nootebook.

Motherboard: 1670

Chipset: Intel HM65 Express

Processor: Intel i3-2310M


I want to upgrade processor, so I searched info about compatible i7 CPUs. And I don't understend which manual i should use:

Can I upgrade to

i7-3610QE, i7-3520M or 7-2620M

HP Recommended

The one ending in xx4221 is correct for your model. 

 

i7-2620M is the top upgrade. on that motherboard. 3rd gen CPUs will not work.

HP Recommended

But On Intel site HM65 Chipset can work with 3rd generation processors. What will happen if I try plug one of them.
