Here is the Service Manual:
You could upgrade to 8 gigs of memory...2 x 4 gig DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM
You could upgrade to a 2.5 inch SATA solid state drive instead of the mechanical hard drive.
This is a 7 year old laptop so your expectations need to be modest.
$60 for memory:
$54 for the SSD:
I definitely would not put any more money than that into it.
