Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I have just purchased the HP Pavilion gaming laptop from best buy (model 15-ec1073dx) and I want to upgrade the ram, since I am a programmer and would prefer having 16gb to be on the safe side. I wanted to ask how many empty ram slots does it have open and if any 3200mhz laptop ram would work. Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

You can install a max of 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory in your notebook.

 

Yes, the 8 GB memory on NewEgg is the same model that you can buy directly from Crucial for $9 more.

Below is the link to the service manual.  It does not have the Ryzen 4xxx processors listed, but hopefully, it will help you with opening up the notebook to replace the memory.
