Product: Pavilion x360 Convertible
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The USB port on the left side is kinda flaky. Some devices work with it and others are not recognized. I was wondering if any others have experienced this.

 

Looking through the maintenance manual it doesn't look that hard to replace the USB/Audio board. I've had it open before to add memory and an SSD. Be fore I attempt that I'd like to know if anyone has done this and any gotchas that aren't explained clearly in the manual. Also, the manual lists two different boards. How do I determine which one I need? They are:

 

USB/audio board for use in full-featured models L18204-001, L36458-001

USB/audio board for use in full-featured plus models L18205-001, L36459-001

 

Any info appreciated.
