Hello,

I want to replace my HDD with SSD. Product number of my notebook is K0X42EA#AB8.

However, I couldn't decide whether [Samsung 860 Evo 2.5" Sata 3.0 Ssd Disk 500Gb Mz-76E500Bw 210170828] is compatible with my pc.
Can you help me to understand if mine can run that 500 GB SSD?

Hi:

Yes, that 2.5" drive should work just fine in your notebook.

Another 500 GB SSD model that I recommend which performs just as well as the Samsung, but usually costs less, is this one...

I have one more question. I want to use replace my optic drive with hdd as well.Therefore I need an adaptor for it. Do you think that the dimension of the optic drive of this pc(product number is K0X42EA#AB8) is 9.5mm?

You're very welcome.

Chapter 3 of the service manual only provides a part number for the DVD drive, and no dimensions.

Optical drive, DVD+/-RW DL SuperMulti (includes optical drive hardware kit with optical drive bezel and bracket):
HP part # 762503-001

I googled the part number, and cannot find any info on it regarding how thick it is.

It is probably 9.5mm thick, but I cannot guarantee it.

I recommend you remove it and measure it to confirm how thick it is.
