Pavillion x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer says that it's a HP pavilion x360 convertible 14m-cd0xxx but HP's scan says it's a HP Pavilion x360 - 14m-dh1001dx so I guess numbers don't really mean anything. But that's not the point.

The hard drive my laptop came with has about all the storage of a brick. It's complete trash. I want to upgrade with a new hard drive. I read the manual online and it only includes compatibility for up to 1TB. I'd like to go for 2TB. Specifically the WD Blue 2TB Internal SATA Hard Drive for Laptops model#WDBMYH0020BNC-WRSN just for absolute clarity.

Will this hard drive be compatible with my computer?

I don't see why not, but HP clearly knows something I don't. Ordinarily I'd just take it apart myself and see if the hard drive is similar, but HP has made the incredible decision that the screws be hidden underneath the rubber grips. And I'd rather not tear the grips apart just to learn that I can't even replace it with the 1TB model much less 2TB.

The best option if you are going outside of listed spec is to go to Crucial.com and use the system check to see what drives Crucial shows as supported. They also guarantee compatibility so if their system check tells you a drive will work and you buy it from them, they will take it back.
