Goodmorning,
I have a Pavilion 15-e070sl and this is the actual configuration (obtained with Speccy):
Operating system: Windows 8.1 64 bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 3230M @ 2,60GHz
RAM: 4,00GB Single-channel DDR3 @ 798Mhz (11-11-11-28) (with Speccy)
(on the RAM card it is written Ramaxel 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-11-B4 HF)
Motherboard: Hewelett Packard 1970 (U3Ei)
Intel HD Graphics 4000 (HP)
2048MB ATI Radeon HD 8670M (HP)
Storage: 4665GB Seagate ST500LT012-9WS142 (SATA)
I would like to upgrade:
- the RAM 4GB to 8 GB
- the HDD 500 GB to SSD 1 tera
- Windows 8 to Windows 10
RAM
Actual configuration: 4,00GB Single-channel DDR3 @ 798Mhz (11-11-11-28) / (Ramaxel 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-11-B4 HF)
Reading a previous post, I saw that you recommended for this laptop: 4-GB (PC3L, 12800, 1600-MHz) 691740-001
Can I insert a Kingston RAM 8 GB - DDR3 - 1600 MHz 204 pin So Dimm – KCP3L16SD8/8, in place of the current one? 798MHz to 1600MHz?
HDD
Actual storage: 4665GB Seagate ST500LT012-9WS142 (SATA)
I wish to upgrade to 1 tera: is it possible? p.e. Barracuda Seagate ST1000LMZ48/LM048?
OPERATING SYSTEM
Actually the machine run Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Can I upgrade to Windows 10? Have I to make a HP partition of the new disc?
Regards

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to upgrade the RAM, hard drive and the operating system on your computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
You can go ahead and install an 8GB RAM on the computer. Below is the tested RAM and the spare part number.
8-GB (PC3L, 12800, 1600-MHz)
Part number: 693374-001
You can upgrade the operating system and do a clean install on the new hard drive. You can install a SATA SSD on your computer as there is no M.2 support.
Please refer to the below service guide for your computer for more information.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
