Performance comparison Spectre EB1775ng and EB1780ng

Hi. 

I like to by a Spectre with Iris XE graphics and I am unsure if I need the 3200 DDR4 ram compared with 2666 DDR4. This seems with 512 to 1TB SSD the only difference of both setups available here. The price difference is 100€.

So should I better spend more to get faster ram? How Iris Xe would perform if it can access ram faster? Could not find any specific information about this. Perhaps somebody still compared this.

difficult to answer you, without having the two models, and not just some indications
for the memory, it is not more memory than what you indicated
3200 DDR4 ram compared with 2666 DDR4
This is the speed, if one has 16 2666, for example, and the other 8go 3200 it may be more advantageous to have 16
Then sometimes indicated a faster speed, but if you look closely, the speed is not used to the max!

Both models are similar except SSD and Ram speed. I was also surprised that the cheaper version has slower ram as the faster is not that expensive… But anyhow, that’s it. As I cannot change the ram modules I like to spend some thoughts before I get angry with myself. 

As the Iris Xe has shared mem I would expect that it could be a larger difference than expected between both speeds.

unfortunately for me the one in german
but for me you must not hesitate
one with 1TB SSD, double
16 ram (fastest)
the other can be because it is equipped with the intel optane
hard for me to compare everything, but i would say choose the 15-eb1780ng if it s this

Hi. 

I ask an owner of an 1775 and the Memory Speed is 3200Mhz in Windows Task Manager. I tried to configure a Spectre on HP.com and memory speed is never mentioned. Is this perhaps a mistake on the homepage???

i don't understand what you mean

In germany we have only this 2 models and Tiger Lake architecture supports 3200Mhz as I read.

So I tried to configure one on USA site as it is possible there but the RAM speed I never shown anywhere. Also I ask somebody owns a 1775 and it shows 3200Mhz in windows task manager. So I am unsure what is right. Perhaps the specs on the homepage are wrong?

ok, but from the few differences I noticed, having more 1tb SSD space seems best to me, doesn't it?
