Poor performance in TripleA games due to lack of maintenance. It has already been formatted, driver updates, stress testing, and as mentioned, the drivers were bent. The technician has already tried everything during maintenance. Could it be a lost cause?

Hi @MHCLgo,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you've done a thorough job troubleshooting the performance issues with your HP Omen 15-en0xxx, but it's still underperforming, especially in Triple-A games. Given that you’ve already formatted the system, updated drivers, and conducted stress tests, there are a few more steps you might consider:
- Check for Thermal Throttling: Ensure that the cooling system is working efficiently. Overheating can cause the system to throttle performance. Clean the vents and fans, and consider using a cooling pad.
- Verify Hardware Health: Use hardware diagnostic tools to check for issues with the GPU, CPU, or RAM. HP's Support Assistant or third-party tools like HWMonitor or GPU-Z can be helpful.
- Check Power Settings: Ensure that your laptop is set to "High Performance" mode in the power settings, and that the power plan is optimized for gaming.
- BIOS Update: Sometimes, a BIOS update can improve system performance or fix bugs. Check HP’s support site for any updates for your model.
- Reinstall Games: Sometimes, game performance issues are specific to the game installation. Try reinstalling the games that are having issues.
- Check for Background Processes: Ensure there are no background processes consuming significant resources. You can use Task Manager to identify and manage these processes.
- Examine Storage: Ensure that your storage drive (SSD/HDD) is not nearing capacity or failing. A failing drive can significantly impact performance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
