Performance of i7 is worst than core 2 duo

On this new i7 pavilion laptop, battery drain out with in 3 to 4 hour while running illustrator app. Sometime system hang, crash and sometime shows RAM STORAGE IS FULL. It has 8GB RAM. This app is running smoothly in my old laptop which has 4 GB RAM and core 2 duo intelligent processor but little slow while saving project. I didn't not crash or hang.

My question is that what is the use taken 11th generation laptop where old laptop are running fine.

Service center gave me back after days saying it has No issue. What this means , I am facing problem then who will look into that.

The notebook should be loads faster than the old notebook. I am sure if you run any system benchmarks tests on both notebooks you will see the great difference in power.

Probably exclude hardware for now since you sent it in to get looked at.

Most likely there is some driver problem, installed software another system thing.

Are you using the latest version of Adobe illustrator on the notebook?

Is the notebook completely updated in Windows settings and HP drivers (especially the graphics driver)?

Can you set preferences in Adobe illustrator to default?

Can you take a look in Task Manager and see what is running in background, look at things such as CPU utilization, disk use, and RAM use

The specs of the notebook are really great. You could upgrade the RAM to 16GB  (max 64GB) which would give more available RAM for shared graphics. Adobe illustrator is probably using a lot of graphics and CPU RAM. The RAM would also run in dual channel mode.

i have tried and updated window. when my illustrator was running it shows 26% power it is  consuming and also chrome browser also consuming 26 % of battery. 

i think there is something wrong somewhere.

Sir, i have checked the task manager. before illustrator it shows cpu-32%, memory 74%, disk 0, network 0, in memory there is app MASSIVE it is consuming 2383.3 mb.  what is that. it is maximum.

after running illustrator.. cpu- 69.5%, memory- 87%

and illustrator app it self consuming cpu- 56%  and memory 802. mb. 

now u can guide me if this task manager data is correct?
