Greetings to the entire HP community, I have a problem with my laptop, it's an HP, it's an HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cw1xxx, what happens is that the cooling cooler of my CPU is working so well that when I lift it, it starts to make horrible jamming sounds and at the same time some annoying vibrations with some sounds of effort from the motors, so I want to ask how I could have physical technical support for it from Medellin, Colombia.

HI @Elysium45,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The fan making unusual noises and vibrations can be a sign of several potential problems, including dust buildup, misalignment, or a failing fan. Here’s how you can address the problem and find physical technical support in Medellín, Colombia:

1. Troubleshoot the Fan Issue

Before seeking professional repair, you might want to try a few troubleshooting steps:

Clean the Fan:

  • Power Down: Turn off your laptop and unplug it.
  • Access the Fan: Open the laptop (refer to your laptop’s manual or HP’s support site for instructions on how to do this safely).
  • Clean the Fan: Use compressed air to blow out any dust and debris from the fan and cooling system. Avoid using a vacuum cleaner, as it can generate static electricity.

Check Fan Alignment:

  • Inspect for Obstructions: Ensure that no cables or components are interfering with the fan.
  • Check for Damage: Look for any signs of physical damage to the fan or its mounting.

Update BIOS and Drivers:

  • Update BIOS: Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve hardware issues. Check HP’s support website for updates.
  • Update Drivers: Ensure that all drivers, especially for the chipset and cooling system, are up-to-date.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
