Chrome OS

Hello,

I am looking for the pinout for the following fan's connector.  The fan is from an older HP Chromebook.

Couple of quick thoughts, as your post hasn't had a response yet...

1) You might have more joy finding the pinout for the fan's connection on the Chromebook's motherboard, which would in turn then give you the info you need for the fan's wires

2) If you have a multimeter, you could try reading different coloured wires whilst moving the fan round by hand. This should generate a small voltage, and with some trial and error, you should be able figure out V+ and ground. I'd normally say that the 3rd wire left over from that deduction would be for PWM, but it looks like it has four wires, so not too sure about that.

I will try option two, because I am no longer in contact with the organization were i got the fan from.  It is a four wire fan.

Thanks for the suggestions.
