Hello @Jvanbock, and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

The HP Omnibook X 14-inch AI PC (14-fe0000 series) features two USB-C ports on the left side, and both may physically accept the charging adapter. However, only one of them is designated for power delivery (charging).

Which port to use for charging:

Use the USB-C port closest to the rear (hinge side) of the laptop. This is the dedicated charging port that supports USB-C Power Delivery (PD) and is designed to handle the wattage required for charging the laptop efficiently.

The front USB-C port (closer to the user when facing the screen) is typically used for data transfer and display output, and may not support charging or may do so at a reduced rate.

How to identify the correct port:

  1. Look for a small battery or lightning bolt icon next to the port, this indicates charging capability.
  2. Refer to the official HP specifications page for your model:

Tip:

If you're using a third-party USB-C charger, ensure it supports USB-C PD and matches the required wattage (usually 65W or higher for this model). HP recommends using the original charger for optimal performance.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
