Hi,
On a typical workload of MS Office and Youtube I am getting a battery life of around 2-2.5 hours maximum.
What could be the possible reason for it as it is a new laptop (3 days old as of today!) and the configuration is that of a thin & light laptop?
HP is simply not acknowledging the battery drain and saying since the Battery Check is showing okay, nothing can be done!
But I simply cannot accept a battery life of 2 hours with such light productivity activities!!
Regards,
Chandra

All you can really do is follow standard advice like keep the screen brightness as low as you can tolerate it and try not to keep too many apps/windows open at the same time. Battery runtime will tend to improve a bit as you use the laptop but do not expect it to double or triple. Its a 3-cell battery and you have a pretty strong CPU, dedicated video and a high res bright screen: all the stuff that takes away battery runtime.

I also have the same issue, with same HP HP product. Even though the HP product catalog site claims battery backup of 10 hours of video playback, it does not deliver even 30% of it with no other app running and on battery saver mode.

Additional to the same low battery backup issue, One more thing I observed is that the battery is getting drained to 0% while on sleep mode in merely 3-4 hours. Do you see that as well ?
