Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have my laptop for around 2 years now and those 8 GB were enough until I have started using Blender. Is there a possibility of a RAM upgrade? I've heard that some pieces of this kind of tech have additional memory slot alongside soldered RAM.

HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0002ur Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

 

It comes with 8 GB of onboard memory.

 

'Onboard' means the memory is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

There isn't an empty memory slot to add additional memory.

 

Below is the link to the service manual.

Different motherboards are used for the notebooks that come with 8 GB or 16 GB of memory.

 

See chapter 3 for the list of different motherboards.
