Hello. I have an HP 15s-fq5006fl. When I opened it to upgrade the RAM, I noticed two free connectors, which I've included in the photo. I was wondering if I could use one of these connectors to adapt a 2.5" SSD I have from my previous computer.

Unfortunately, your model only supports M.2 SSDs, not 2.5" SSDs.
Service manual shows cable connectors on the motherboard on pages 47-48.
Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC
An empty connector shown in your first photo is for optional fingerprint reader. A connector next to the keyboard cable is for a power cable for
optional keyboard backlight. A 2.5" drive, if connected to either connector, won't be detected by the system, as cable connectors are designed for specific devices.
If you need more storage space, you may upgrade the M.2 NVMe SSD to a higher capacity, 1 TB, 2 TB or more.
