Quick question... I have an HP pavilion notebook (15-ab153nr) that's out of warranty; I'd like to know if there's any possible way I can tighten one of its hinges that's a little loose - and if so, some steps on how to do that?

- Whenever I open or close the lid rather quickly, or even when I move the computer around without being extra gentle, the hinge makes these snapping sounds (and it looks rather loose when the lid is closed, too).

- My keyboard's kinda weird so I can't exactly take it off unless I take off the entire front cover (and then the individual keys, cause it's kinda built into the computer, if that makes sense).

Just trying to give as much info as possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

- Bluerose

The hinge cannot really be repaired it needs to be replaced. The hinge part is not very expensive but it is an intensive project. Post back if you want to pursue further.
