HP USB-C Travel Power Adapter 65W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,
I have a very strange and specific question, but I hope it'll find some sort of answer here. I apologize if this isn't the right category, but I couldn't find an accessories tab to ask in.
I use an HP Spectre x360, and so I use a USB-C power adapter to charge it. I recently purchased the  official HP 65w USB-C adapter off of the HP online store. It came in two connecting parts- the power cord, and then the actual adapter that plugs into the computer. There was also a small square plug-in that could connect to the adapter to fit it into the wall with less length than the power cord could provide. I connected this small square to the adapter and plugged it in and everything charged perfectly. However, now I want to remove the square and use the longer power cord provided. For some reason, though, the square is completely stuck in place. I have attempted to remove it exactly according to instructions online, but it won't budge. I am terrified to attempt to force the square off in fear that it'll break the charger in some way. Is there a way I am unaware of that these two things disconnect? Anything else I can try?

Thank you!

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

This sounds like a hardware component related issue, detaching the adapter should be easy and quick it shouldn't be tuff.
I would request you to contact HP shopping for replacement ac adapter. Check the below image showing detaching ac adapter.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
