The power keeps coming on when the laptop is in my backpack.  I'm sure it's the power button getting pressed because it's not protected in the corner - rather than on the side where it was in the last model.  On the corner it's easy to press - which is a bummer when it's in my backpack  traveling around.

Is there some kind of cover or something that I can get to put over that corner of the laptop so that when it's in my backpack the power doesn't come up.

Thanks.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand that the power button is being pressed accidentally on the laptop. Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • 1. type power and sleep settings in the search bar and select it.
  • 2. click on Additional power settings
  • 3. click on "choose what the power buttons do"
  • 4. choose what you want the power button to do.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
