HP offers a power manager for their business laptops which can be set to limit the maximum charge level of the battery.
Would that software work on the Spectre X360 purchased a few months ago?
It is bewildering that HP does not ship this software with ALL new laptops, Dell has been doing so for several years.

Hi @Jody-S,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
HP typically come with the HP Command Center software, which includes a feature called "Power Manager." This utility allows users to manage power settings and optimize performance for different usage scenarios.
With the Power Manager, you can adjust settings like.
- Performance Control: This allows you to set the system performance level to either maximize performance or improve battery life.
- Fan Noise Control: You can adjust the fan speed settings to prioritize cooling or reduce fan noise.
- Battery Health Manager: This feature helps prolong the overall lifespan of your laptop's battery by limiting the maximum charge capacity to a user-defined threshold when the laptop is plugged in.
To ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Command Center and Power Manager, you can visit the official HP support website and search for your specific Spectre x360 model. There you should find the latest drivers, software, and utilities available for download.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
