Can I use the original power supply from the HP Chromebook 14 G2 on this HP Chromebook 14 G3?
G2 Power Supply: 740015-003
G3 Power Supply: 741727-001

I can't find the first one but the second one is a Smart AC power adapter (45 watt) - 4.5mm barrel connector, non-power factor correcting (NPFC) - Requires 3-wire AC power cord with C5 connector.
which supports Chromebook G3 and G4 machines plus hundreds other machines BUT not G2 machines as shown

Therefore I would not try to swap them. It short, please don't try to use G2 adapter on G3 machine.

Thanks! Its weird because this one is also 3 pin, the connector looks exactly the same, and its
45w 19.5v at 2.31A which is only 0.06A different than this replacement for the G3
