OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-c0000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

Several months ago, I purchased an aftermarket power adapter for my Omen-16z c000 to keep in my travel backpack. The original OEM supply was a 150W unit and the one I got on Amazon was 200W. It was working just fine and was being used as my everyday adapter at home here. No issues whatsoever. Until yesterday ......

Yesterday I got another aftermarket one to use in my backpack so I wouldn't have to keep swapping the 200W one and could just leave it near the chair where I use my laptop most at home. I have been keeping the original OEM safe for use if a problem developed. The new 150W supply imediately gave me an error about not being compatable and the laptop and immediately switched to battery use and wouldn't run or charge with the new supply. So I plugged back in the 200W supply I had been using for months and it did the same thing! Both of these aftermarket supplys are producing the proper voltage according to two different multimeters.

Out of desperation, I plugged in my OEM original adapter and thank God, it still works properly. But I can't figure out why the  200W adapter I had been using for months will no longer work when it had been great for all those months.

I had been unable to find OEM adapters for purchase before, which is why I tried the aftermarket ones. And yes, my laptop model WAS listed on BOTH aftermarket adapters that I got.

Does anyone (or HP!) know what is going on here and why I can't use aftermarket adapters. They even look exactly like my OEM Slim adapter with the exception that thay are not imprinted with "HP". I would greatly appreciate any help!
