Hello everyone 🙂
I hope someone can help me.
I learnt that HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14t-ew100 should be designed to work with a 100w power adapter.
However if I use a usb-c docking, the docking will reserve 15w from the power adapter for the usb peripherals.
If so,will HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14t-ew100 be slow charged?Or it could not be charged after I use such docking?
I learn that some laptops might not be charged after the power provided by the power adapter is less than a Specific Value.
But I am not sure if it is same for HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14t-ew100.
Anyone know?
Thanks in advance!

The manner in which you have written this thread does indicate that you are probably using a VPN and that English is not your native tongue.
That is okay, but it means that what you are asking is not easily understandable.
If you use the 100W or 65W USB Type-C power adapter that the laptop was delivered with, plugged into the USB Type- C Thunderbolt port, the laptop will fast charge since it has the HP Fast Charge technology.
"Battery recharge time - Supports battery fast charge: approximately 50% in 30 minutes"
See the power requirements section on chapter 1, page three of the Maintenance & Service guide for your laptop model series.
I have provided a link to the Maintenance & Service guide below this line.

"If so,will HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14t-ew100 be slow charged?Or it could not be charged after I use such docking?"
The highlighted part is not understandable because you have not provided a specific reference to use of a specific docking station.
The guide states that a Thunderbolt docking might work if connected to the USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 port your laptop has. It does not specifically state that it will work. I do not know why it is stated like that.

Hi Erico
Thanks for your answer:)
Could you confirm HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14t-ew100 could be charged by 65w power adapter as well?
I check the Maintenance & Service guide you share with me.
Thank you,I but I found that it should be for 14-ew0xx or 14t-ew000,I am not sure if the guide could be used for 14t-ew100
According to the qa from the product page, the 14t-ew100 should come with the 100w power adpater
As for the link of the docking, please kindly refer to the link below:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0CHHX7WYN
It is a type-c docking. The type-c power adapter could be connected to the pd port of the docking.
It could charge the laptop and provide the power for the usb peripherals which connects to the docking.
If I connect a 100w power adapter to this docking,it could provide 85w for the laptop at most because 15w from the power adapter will be used to power the usb peripherals etc.
And that is what I am worrying about.
I learnt that some laptop could not be charged if the power adapter could not provide enough power. And the system will not detect any power adapter even it is connected.
For example,a laptop is designed to work with a 100w power adapter, when you connect a 30w power adapter to the laptop, the system might not detect the power adapte connected.
While for some laptop, even the power adapter could not provide enough power, the system could detect the power adapter connected, however the performance might be limited.
So I wonder if the docking could only provide 85w for the 14t-ew100,will the laptop detect the power adapter connected when I connect the 100w power adapter to the docking?
Many thanks for your hlep 🙂

That is the Maintenance & Service guide for your laptop as well as for the 14-ew0xx laptop.
A USB Type-C power adapter of 65W or greater should work if plugged into the USB Gen4 Type-C Thunderbolt port.
Look for the lightning bolt symbol next to the port.
