Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

Hopefully I can get somewhere with this one-- my mom recently asked me to fix her laptop (it'd been knocked over and one of the hinges broke) and while I was able to replace the broken hinge, I've noticed that I can't turn the laptop on anymore. After opening it up a few hours ago and taking a closer look at it, it looks like the power button board is either disconnected or somehow missing (as in it may have broken off at some point during the repair process, because I realized that the reason why the power button wasn't working was that it wasn't connected to anything. (Here's what I'm seeing.)

As the subject says, the laptop in question is an HP 15-bs234wm. While I know why it's not powering on, what I don't know how how to remedy this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the Service Manual for your laptop- http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05493257.pdf  You will see a small Power button board HP part 924994-001 on page 17.

Order the part on Amazon or eBay and the service manual will tell you how to install it.
