Power button weird issues

New power button board with ribbon cable hope I'm saying that right. Anyways my old one broke at the board at the solder connection so I got a brand new one hooked it in and nothing will not power on. I have it securely in there and correctly. Weird thing is if I try to remove it from the clip on the motherboard it powers in the laptop. Stumped any info would be much appreciated . And happy holidays!

I understand that after replacing the power button board, the laptop will not power on.

 The issue with hardware components. I would suggest you to contact our phone support.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
