Product: H HP Spectre x360 15-bl0XX or
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was told by the HP Support team that any Type C charger would charge the laptop.  However, I bought Samsung and computer tells me wrong charger.  Can anyone tell me can I buy a third party light charger for my travel?

As I understand you need a power charger for your HP Spectre x360,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details: 

Did you check the product specifications of your PC?

(Click here to check, if you haven't to confirm which adapter is supported by your PC)

 

That said, I confirmed that the PC requires: 90 W AC power adapter, if you can find an adapter that supports these requirements,

It should work just fine, although HP doesn't have any USB charger apart from the one shipped with the PC as of now, hence if you are getting a 3rd party adapter, you may do so at your own discretion.

Hi folks.

 

Thought you might like to know I'm very impressed with a USB C charger I found on Amazon (UK)...the iCV Smart 60W, listed as compatible with the Spectre 13. And although my Spectre 15, with latest i7 8550 is 90W, this charger not only works with the laptop switched off, but also when powered on...with no 'incorrect' messages thrown up...yet, after a couple of hours' use!...wonderful!! :
