The laptop was completely fine last night, just now I wake up and use it. It gave me a Low Battery warning and then when I check the battery, it is not charging (There's also an X on the battery). My power cord is also blinking red light for sometimes then white light then red light again. It's a cycle. I have bad English I am sorry

Hi @PhamHuy123 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand The blinking red and white light on your HP Pavilion's charger is definitely a cause for concern.
Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Basic Checks:
- Make Sure Connections Are Secure: Double-check that the power cord is securely plugged into both the wall outlet and the laptop's charging port. Wiggle the connections slightly to see if the light changes.
- Try a Different Outlet: Plug the charger into a different wall outlet to eliminate the possibility of a faulty outlet.
- Inspect the Charger: Look for any physical damage to the charger cord or adapter, like fraying or exposed wires.
Troubleshooting:
Perform a Hard Reset: A hard reset can clear temporary glitches that might be causing the charging issue. Here's how to do it:
- Shut down your laptop completely.
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Try turning on your laptop.
Check for HP Updates: Outdated BIOS or drivers might cause charging problems. You can use HP Support Assistant to check for and install any available updates.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics: Most HP laptops have built-in diagnostics tools. You can access them by powering on the laptop and repeatedly pressing the F2 key during startup. Look for a battery or power adapter test and run it. HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures
If the problem persists:
- Replace the Charger: If the troubleshooting steps don't work, the issue might be with the charger itself. Consider getting a replacement charger compatible with your HP Pavilion model.
