Hi,
No, you will not have to replace the motherboard. The power jack attaches to the motherboard with a short cable. You will need part number 646304-001 which includes the power jack and cable; battery connector cable and RJ 11 connector and cable. It comes as a kit (all three parts) for about 25 $.
Just perform a search online with the part number to find a dealer in your country.
