HP ProBook 4730s
The power jack on this ProBook doesn't stay connected long enough to boot up the computer. Battery needs replacing but before I spend the money on the battery I need to know if that power jack is integrated into the motherboard and whether or not the entire motherboard will need to be changed to repair the power jack.

Hi,

No, you will not have to replace the motherboard. The power jack attaches to the motherboard with a short cable. You will need part number 646304-001 which includes the power jack and cable; battery connector cable and RJ 11 connector and cable. It comes as a kit (all three parts) for about 25 $.

Just perform a search online with the part number to find a dealer in your country.
