Omen by HP 15t 15-dc0000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Anyone knows how to install the precision touchpad for the Omen by HP 15t  15-dc0000? I have been looking for it but I can't find any good driver for it. And the default driver is so trash that I don't really want to use it though. Please share with me if you have. Thank guys!

Hey there! @peace20201,

Have you tried checking with an external mouse? Does the issue persist?

Precision drivers are from Microsoft and have not been tested or trailed on HP products, so we cannot guarantee the functionality of the touchpad.

If you're curious whether or not your laptop is using Precision drivers, there's a simple way to check just by following these steps.

Right-click the Start button.
Click Settings.
Click Devices.
Click Touchpad.
At the top of the window, you should see a note that says "Your PC has a precision touchpad" if indeed it's using Microsoft's drivers.

If you still need to use Microsoft drivers, try the steps recommended below.

  • On Start , search for Device Manager, and select it from the list of results. Under Mice and other pointing devices, select your touchpad, open it, select the Driver tab, and select Update Driver. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, look for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

  • If those steps didn't work, try uninstalling your touchpad driver: open Device Manager, right-click (or press and hold) the touchpad driver, and select Uninstall. Restart your device and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

  • If that didn't work, try using the generic driver that comes with Windows. Here's how: in Device Manager, right-click (or press and hold) your touchpad driver > Update driver software... Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select HID compliant mouse, select Next, and follow the instructions to install it.

Lastly, if you have issues using the touchpad download and install the latest version of touchpad drivers and BIOS from the links below.
