On Windows 10 I used to have a precision driver installed for my touchpad. This helped me to scroll more naturally and have three and four finger gestures. Since the upgrade to Windows 11 I don't have these features anymore and I cannot seem to find a driver to recreate my previous setup.

I currently have the ELAN clickpad driver 27.1 installed, where I previously had an older version of an ELAN input device for WDF. When I install that driver, it doesn't work. Presumably because it isn't compatible with WIndows 11. I tried installing the newest release of ELAN input device for WDF, but that didn't work either.

Can anyone help me to get my hands on a precision driver?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I understand that after Windows 11 update touchpad gestures not working correctly, this seems like driver compatibility issue.
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
Method 1:

To turn touch gestures on, select Start Settings Bluetooth & devices Touch Three- and four-finger touch gestures, and make sure it's turned on.

Method 2:

Some of these gestures will only work with precision touchpads. To find out if your laptop has one, select Start Settings Bluetooth & devices  Touchpad.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

When I navigate to touchpad settings, I only see the settings shown in the screenshot below.

This panel used to show more options, but now I don't have much to choose from.

Can I get the precision options back somehow?

Thank you for posting back.

It seems like Windows 11 OS limitation, If you still need additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team if you would like to continue troubleshooting.

I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
