@KUTTY01

You can use both but on market today most of RAM sticks use DDR3L (1.35v). DDR3L RAM uses less power and cooler and the speed could be the same. The following RAM is compatible

                  https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct2kit51264bf160b/ct2403390               (will run at 1333MHz).

Regards.

8Gb is the correct max according to the maintenance and service guide http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03137358

This would be 2 x 4Gb

If your laptop currently runs L memory ok then you should be able to install more, although the part numbers in the guide are all standard 1.5V dimms

Hi Everyone,

I tried 1.5V Ram Hynix

Booted, and In System Properties, it shows 4 GB,

(But inside the bracket it still shows as 1.48 GB Usable)

I tried changing the slot's also. doesn't increased, tried to Max. Memory in msconfig- doesn't work.

After two to three boots, it doesn't boot after that So i removed that  1.5v RAM.

Also i want try another available RAM: SAMSUNG 2GB IRX16 PC3L 12800S 11

but it has 1Rx16 instead of 1Rx8,

Can i try this?
