I prefer the Samsung but you likely picked the #1 and #2 sellers...either will work fine.

It will work as you will be able to access the SSD but when you place an SSD in an optical drive adapter caddy generally the interface is slower and you cannot make it the bootdisk so much smarter to just use a standard less expensive hard drive in such a caddy and have it be used for just extra bulk storage.

It works depending on what are going to do with it. If you wish to boot from it, it won't work, but the option is there

(a) Clone existing HDD to SSD,

(b) Physically swap HDD and SSD,

(c) Put HDD to caddy and use HDD to store data.

Now your plan is slightly difference but this will work.

Regards.

Hello!

I choose 2 compatible SSD

WESTERN DIGITAL BLUE 3D 1TB SATAIII 2.5" WDS100T2B0A

$319 in Latvia €129

SAMSUNG 860 EVO 1TB 2.5" SATAIII MZ-76E1T0B/EU

$195 in Latvia €165

Which better?

Thanks!
