Hello Gals and Guys -

I have a ProBook 470 G5.  I wanted to swap the keyboard with the backlit one, but am having a bit of trouble and was wondering if anyone had a tip.  I got the old keyboard out easily enough, but both the new one and old one the cable is very stiff, so when I try to push it in, it kind of crinkles.  I was wondering if any one had a tip on how to do this?  Thanks for any help.

You need right/different connectors because backlit keyboard needs power from motherboard for it lights. In short: backlit keyboard alone won't work, you need a motherboard which supports this.

Regards.
