Paviiliondv70-7020us
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I use a serial port to access hardware(Arduino board) I can't reestablish a connection when I go back to the board, the message I get is the port is busy, so I try to go to another port, and they are in use or busy also.

@Mikemaz1

There is NO Paviiliondv70-7020us, only Paviiliondv7-7020us, its specs

     https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c03316756

It has the following ports

  • 3 SuperSpeed USB 3.0
  • 1 Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0
  • 1 HDMI
  • 1 VGA (15-pin)
  • 1 RJ-45 (LAN)
  • 1 Headphone-out
  • 1 Microphone-in

How do you connect to your Arduino board ? Do you connect it directly using (a) USB to USB or using (b) USB to RS-232 ?

If (a), please ONLY use USB 2.0 port, if (b) please use proper cable. Otherwise please contact  Arduino board vemdor.

Regards.
